| 5661 | Mr. Norman D. Tatum, 55, of 112 Hensley Heights, died Monday, April 22, 1996 at his residence. Born March 1, 1941 in Mercer County, he was the son of Willie and Louise Pendegrist Tatum. He was a chief dispatcher for the Norfolk Southern Railroad and a member of the Harrodsburg Church of Christ. He was an army veteran. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include: his wife, Pamela Peavler Tatum, Harrodsburg; three sons, Spencer and Stanley, both of Harrodsburg, Vincent Tatum, Louisville; one brother, Bruce Tatum, Louisville; a daughter-in -law, Paula Thompson Tatum, Harrodsburg. Services for Mr. Tatum will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, April 25, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Rev. Rob Harbison officiating. Burial will be in Burgin Memorial Gardens. Visitation 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 24 and prior to services on Thursday. Pallbearers will be Don Whittaker, Ray Allen, Jim Fitzgerald, Robert Bishop, Chester Gabhart, and Buddy Shirley. Mrs. Crocker died on Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Franklin M. deBeers, 814 Grove street, Glencoe. Born Agnes Taylor. Besides Mrs. deBeers, survivors include a son, Sidney W. | 5665 | Delephine L. Peevler, of Lafayette, died of natural causes Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005, in Boulder. She was 83. The daughter of James C. Taylor and Leatha N. Scott, she was born Sept. 19, 1922. She married Ivan Peevler Sr. on Jan. 30, 1939, in Danville, Ill. Mrs. Peevler worked as a Safeway cashier for 20 years. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, fishing and bingo. Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Taylor, of Colorado Springs, and Annita Taylor-Scott, of Boulder; two sons, J. Ivan Peevler Jr., of Broomfield, and L. Mike Peevler, of Albuquerque, N.M.; three sisters, Lillie Underwood, of Illinois, Ruby Copsey, of Illinois, and Wanda Barth, of Illinois; 17 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; three grandchildren; and three siblings. A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at Avalon Funeral Home Chapel, 1320 Centaur Village Drive, Lafayette. | 5667 | James C. Taylor, 71, of Danville, passed away at 12:51 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 29, 2005) at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center. He was born Feb. 3, 1933, in Marshfield, Ind., the son of James and Letha Scott Taylor. Survivors include: four sisters, Lucille Peevler of Lafayette, Colo., and Ruby Copsy, Wanda Barth and Lillie (Calvin) Underwood, all of Danville; a favorite nephew, Randy Barth of Danville; and great-niece and nephew, Jamie Wheeler of Paris, Ill., and Craig Barth of Danville. He was preceded by his parents and two sisters, Ida Anderson and Martha Chiaffredo. James had worked at Kmart in Danville for over 35 years. He enjoyed reading and sports. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005, at Oak Hill Cemetery; Officiating: Rev. James Blue; Memorials may be made to the Vermilion County War Museum.
